This is a buyer’s market at the moment: with a median comparable asking price of A$385 and an upper quartile of A$402, A$420 sits a little above the typical range and reads as ambitious rather than fair. It is not wildly off, but it is no longer a bargain at this level.
The upside is that this deck has a strong reputation as a solid, straightforward Technics belt-drive: dependable, musical, and easy to live with if it has been cared for well. In excellent condition, the main value is in a clean, original example that should give a lot of enjoyment with minimal fuss, so I’d only push hard if the service history, cartridge, lid, and all controls check out cleanly.
