It’s my final price.Highly regarded SGR active loudspeakers. I am second owner ,previously owner purchased these direct from SGR in January 2018. The finish is called cherry burl and it looks outstanding. I can pack speakers for shipping but you should organise courier and pay shipping cost.
A$9,500 is excellent value for this one; similar Australian listings have shown a pair at A$8,900 in mint condition against an A$33,000 new price, so this ask is squarely in bargain territory rather than merely fair. That makes it especially attractive if the pair is genuinely clean, complete, and ready to plug in.
The CX4 is well regarded because SGR’s active, current-drive design gives it strong control, scale, and very even tonal balance, with the kind of low-end grip and resolution that suits serious listening rooms. On a good day, it should sound refined and substantial rather than flashy. At this price, the big upside is getting a high-end Australian active speaker at a fraction of new cost; just confirm the amps, controls, and any original accessories are all present and functioning properly.

SGR Audio emerged from Melbourne, Australia, over two decades ago, driven by founder Stuart Graeme Ralston's passion for music's purest reproduction. Ralston began experimenting with speaker designs more than 16 years ago, refining cabinetry, drivers, crossovers, and aesthetics in pursuit of perfection. What started as a boutique loudspeaker venture has evolved under his leadership—and alongside family involvement, including his father Harry—into a forward-thinking manufacturer with a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Melbourne and global distribution across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and Asia.
The brand focuses primarily on high-end loudspeakers, pioneering innovations like the world's first current-drive models, alongside both active and passive designs that blend exceptional aesthetics with performance. Their portfolio has expanded to include premium hi-fi equipment racks featuring sorbothane isolation and anti-vibration engineering, capable of supporting up to 100kg loads. All products are 100% Australian-made, emphasizing precision craftsmanship for discerning listeners.
SGR Audio holds a strong position as a niche boutique player in the high-end market, earning acclaim for world-class sound and presentation—most notably at the 2018 Munich High End show, where it stood alongside global elites. Today, it confidently competes on the international stage, delivering flawless audio solutions free from noise and distortion.
