£2,500 is strong money for an XIV unless it’s genuinely mint, boxed, and with full provenance; by the time this model was current, Exposure’s preamps sat well below that level, and even the newer XVII was reviewed at about £1,200 in the US, which puts £2,500 firmly on the ambitious side for a used XIV. In plain terms, this is not a bargain-priced listing unless there’s a lot of premium included that isn’t stated.
That said, the XIV is part of Exposure’s well-liked, no-nonsense preamp lineage: clean, rhythmically assured, and built for musical drive rather than hi-fi fireworks.
