A respected early Sony VFET-era integrated, but US$500 is on the high side unless this one is genuinely serviced and ready to run. Typical used figures for a working example land around US$250 or so, with restored units more often in the US$300–US$400 range, so this asking price looks ambitious for unknown condition.
What makes it interesting is the sound and the scarcity: these are sought after for their smooth, distinctive presentation and are very much a piece of Sony’s better vintage engineering. The catch is age-related risk, especially around the VFET output stage and the usual service items; if the seller can document recent overhaul, bias work, and stable operation, it becomes much more compelling.
