Ich kaufte den Subwoofer November 2023 für 2000€ als Neugerät.
Damals fiel meine Entscheidung auf ihn, da der REL S550 1500€ mehr kostete und da größer mehr Platz eingenommen hätte.
Falsche Entscheidung, denn nach Velodyne und Sunfire stellte ich fest, das REL die besten Subwoofer baut.
Das Gerät hat ein leichtes Flattern, Schnarren im Inneren bei tiefen Frequenzen. Irgendwas vibriert im Inneren da mit. Nehme ich das Chassi raus und lass ihn laufen, ist dieses weg. Für mich ein mechanisches Problem, kein Elektrisches. Sonst spielte er 2,5 Jahre auf hohem Niveau.
Ich versuchte alles, Schrauben leicht nachziehen, hier und da.
Ohne Erfolg. Heute Abend 4 Stunden am Stück. Schnauze voll,
manchmal muss man Dinge einfach hinnehmen.
Ich hab noch einen JL Audio und den super kleinen REL T-Zero.
Und wenn wieder groß, dann REL.
Abzuholen für 150 € 75 km hinter Flensburg in Dänemark. Mittwoch, 17.6. fahre ich nach Bergheim bei Köln und Donnerstag zurück. Wenn Sie nah der A1 wohnen, oder im Raum Köln kann ich ihn im Kofferraum haben.
Man bekommt ihn wohl mechanisch hin, aber mein Vertrauen ist weg.
Und hab auch keine Lust mehr mit 65, dafür sind meine Nerven zu schade. Und das Leben zu kurz.

The caveat is equally straightforward: because it’s sold as defective, treat it as a project or donor unless you can verify exactly what failed and the replacement cost stays comfortably under the value of a working unit.
