This is a buyer’s market for older flagship AVRs, and €777 for an excellent AVR-X6400H looks fair-to-good, not a steal but still sensible for a top-tier Denon. New pricing for this model launched at about €2,000 equivalent, and current used asks I can verify cluster around roughly €500–€1,000, so this sits near the middle of the real-world used band rather than at bargain-bin level.
What makes it worth buying is the platform: 11.2-channel processing, strong home-theater power, HEOS streaming, and the kind of full-bore feature set Denon’s high-end x4000-series is known for. If the unit is clean, complete, and has the remote, calibration mic, and rack ears if applicable, it’s a solid enthusiast buy; at this price I’d mainly want proof it boots cleanly, all channels work, and it hasn’t lived a hard life in a cabinet with poor ventilation.
