Pioneer PL-A35 Professional Belt Drive Automatic Stereo TurntableThe Pioneer PL-A35 is a classic wood & metal turntable. The base (plinth) is a beautiful oiled walnut wood veneer on a heavy wood frame and with a machined aluminum alloy platter. Dual motors: (1) is a heavy-duty synchronous motor for the platter and (2) a geared motor for the tonearm+ (see pictures). The entire turntable is 19+ lbs. (package weight 24+ lbs). The turntable is built like a tank. The quality of the build and components explains why this turntable is highly desirable. The dust cover hinges work to keep the cover open as needed.The turntable is in showroom quality (see pictures to evaluate the cosmetics, also note the one small nick on the front top edge of the plinth). Realistic CAT. # 42-2763 and a Copy Right by Shure Brothers Inc.The R27E is widely regarded as part of the respected Shure M75-family cartridge platform and remains appreciated for its warm tonal balance, smooth tracking behavior, and excellent compatibility with classic medium-mass tonearms.Notes: like many dust covers, there are light scratches and a few scuffs (on top and on the sides) that are harder to see and photograph on a tinted cover. The dust cover has a crack around one hinge. It's been repaired and the dust cover is fully functional (refer to the dust cover photos in the gallery).
