Seller's Description

*** Please be aware that high voltages are exposed when the clear acrylic cover is removed ***Decware Z Kit build (assembled and fully functioning), based off of their famous Zen Triode SE84 tube amp. Same circuit, except this is solid state rectified and PCB based, as opposed to tube rectified and point to point wired. Mind you, this is a very high quality PCB. I can see this being rebuilt with no issues on the same PCB, it's robust and well thought-out / laid-out. That to say if you wanted to try different "boutique" capacitors or different output transformers, you could try different kinds without worrying about damaging the PCB from desoldering and re-soldering, especially if you’re good with an iron. 2.3 watts per channel. 3 Tubes. This amp sounds absolutely stunning through a good set of high efficiency speakers (Please be aware of the speaker needs for this amp, high efficiency speakers will bring you much joy and probably some shock and awe, less efficient speakers could bring you a degree of disappointment). It was built using an Edcore power transformer (XPWR-107-120), and Musical Power Supplies HIFI output transformers (OT10SE-HF-7K). The 4 ohm taps on the output transformers were utilized, the option of using the 8 ohm taps are still available, but the amp seems to sound better through the 4 ohm taps, to my ears. The tubes are NOS Russian 6P15P-EV output tubes, and a NOS Russian 6N1P-EV driver tube, they have probably 50 hours total use on them so far. One can use EL84 output tubes without any modification or worry, as well as a 6922 driver tube. Audyn and Solen caps are highlights, all other parts are top drawer from Mouser, Parts Express, and Digikey. This was my 2nd build of this particular “kit” amp, and all came together very well, and all voltages fell within spec on first start-up. The acrylic cover is there to protect against the high voltages (lethal voltages) that are exposed when it is not there. Local pickup is preferred so that one can hear just how good this sounds, but this amp can be shipped, and will be packed well and shipped promptly. Please don't hesitate with any questions. *** Please be aware that high voltages are exposed when the clear acrylic cover is removed ***

About DECWARE

# DECWARE

DECWARE, a trademark of High Fidelity Engineering, was founded in the mid-1990s by Steve Deckert in East Peoria, Illinois. The company emerged as a pioneering force in the low-powered vacuum tube amplifier movement in the United States, introducing the iconic Zen Triode amplifier in 1996—a remarkably simple 2.3-watt single-ended triode design that has since sold over 6,000 units across seven revisions. This foundational product established Deckert's philosophy of elegant minimalism and point-to-point hand-wired construction.

DECWARE specializes in tube amplifiers and loudspeakers manufactured entirely in the USA. The product line centers on integrated amplifiers, with the current flagship being the SE84UFO, a class-A zero-feedback design featuring an exceptionally minimal signal path. The company also produces complementary speaker systems designed to pair with their low-wattage amplifiers. All products are hand-assembled and built to exacting standards using premium components.

Positioned as a boutique, high-end manufacturer, DECWARE commands respect among discerning audiophiles and SET (single-ended triode) enthusiasts worldwide, with products distributed to over 54 countries. The brand is known for direct-to-consumer sales, lifetime warranties, and a 30-day return policy. DECWARE occupies a niche segment where affordability meets uncompromising sonic philosophy—accessible entry points into tube audio without sacrificing design integrity or build quality.
