Accuphase E-202 integrated amplifier for sale. Excellent condition and sounds perfect with the classic Accuphase sound; detail, refinement, power and grace, with just the right amount of warmth. This unit has been extensively cleaned and serviced throughout, including; all knobs, switches, pots cleaned and lubricated, all board cards removed and inspected and edge connectors cleaned, VU meter lamp replaced with LED. Voltage bias and DC offset returned to factory settings. This was the first integrated amp created by Accuphase. It was the result of the top engineers from Kenwood establishing their own company, as they strived to apply all of their knowledge and expertise into best in class products without the constraints of corporate accounting and cost cutting measures. Their efforts led to Accuphase now being one of the finest high end HiFi companies in the world! And it all started with this unit. (They also created a separate preamp and power amp in their inaugural offerings that share many technical advances with this integrated unit.) Audio & Power Specifications: - Power Output: 100 W/ch into 8 Ω, 140 W/ch into 4 Ω, and 50 W/ch into 16 Ω (continuous, both channels driven) - Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): Less than 0.1% (from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz) - Frequency Response: 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz - Damping Factor: Switchable (50, 5, 1 at 8 Ω) - Speaker Load Impedance: 4 Ω to 16 Ω Inputs & Sensitivity:- Disc / Phono (MM): 2.5 mVLine -(Tuner, Aux, Tape): 160 mV - Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR): 74 dB (Phono), 80 dB (Line) Filters & Tone Controls: - Bass Control: ± 10 dB at 100 Hz (turnover frequency: 400 Hz) - Treble Control: ± 10 dB at 10 kHz (turnover frequency: 2.5 kHz) - Low Filter: 30 Hz at 18 dB/octave - High Filter: 5 kHz at 12 dB/octave Dimensions: 455 mm (W) × 152 mm (H) × 355 mm (D)Weight: 19.5 kg (42.9 lbs) Available for demo if needed. I have recently switched to a separate preamp and power amp setup, otherwise I would keep this legendary unit.
Because this is a 1974-era integrated amp, timing matters mostly as a question of condition and service history rather than model relevance. At US$1,950, the ask looks fair to a little ambitious for an unknown-condition E-202: these do carry vintage-Accuphase rarity and collector appeal, but that price is in the zone where I’d want clear proof of a recent refresh and healthy cosmetics rather than taking it on faith.
What makes it worth chasing is the E-202’s reputation as Accuphase’s first integrated amp: a robust 100 Wpc design with proper component-grade build, a big physical presence, and the kind of smooth, authoritative presentation vintage Accuphase fans prize. If it’s clean, original, and recently serviced, it can be a very satisfying buy; if service is undocumented, budget for caps, switches, and meter/selector work before calling it a deal.

Accuphase Laboratory, Inc., founded in 1972 in Tokyo by brothers Nakaichi and Jiro Kasuga, emerged from their departure from Trio-Kenwood, the company they had co-established decades earlier. Dissatisfied with mass-production compromises, the Kasugas formed Kensonic Laboratories—later renamed Accuphase Laboratory—and relocated to Yokohama in 1973. The brand name, blending "accurate" and "phase," reflected their commitment to precision audio reproduction amid the 1970s hi-fi boom. Their debut products, the P-300 power amplifier, C-200 preamplifier, and T-100 tuner, immediately earned acclaim, including Japan's Compo Grand Prix for the P-300.
Accuphase specializes in high-end electronics, renowned for integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, tuners, CD players, and digital sources like DACs. While their core strength lies in meticulously engineered amplifiers celebrated for phase accuracy and reliability, the lineup extends to digital components, mains filters, and room correction units. Hand-assembled in Yokohama with top-tier parts and innovative circuits, these products prioritize sound purity over volume, eschewing speakers, turntables, headphones, or cables.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-premium high-end market, Accuphase commands reverence among audiophiles for its timeless build quality, engineering excellence, and enduring performance. Synonymous with Japanese hi-fi mastery, it stands as a reference benchmark, appealing to discerning buyers seeking components that deliver uncompromised musical fidelity and last for generations.
