US$1,250 is a touch ambitious, not outrageous, but it’s above the current market center. Against your recent comps, it sits at the 75th percentile and only becomes a true bargain if it were down around US$900 or less; at US$1,250 you’re paying top-of-range for a known good vintage amp.
That said, this is a respected classic for a reason: strong current delivery, good drive on difficult speakers, and a big, authoritative sound that still holds up well if it’s healthy. If the unit is clean, fully functional, and unmodified, the premium can make sense for a buyer who wants one of these specifically. I’d mainly want confirmation on service history, stable bias/DC offset, and any cosmetic or control noise issues before paying that much.
