Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Strong value if condition checks out. At AUD $230, you're looking at roughly 50–60% of typical new retail for Super Flatline MKII (which runs around AUD $400–500 for 2–2.5m pairs). Used examples rarely surface, but when they do, they typically command AUD $250–320 depending on length and termination type. This listing sits at the lower end of the realistic used range, which suggests either motivated selling or that the seller has priced aggressively. For a cable with this reputation for clarity and neutral voicing, it's worth serious consideration if the condition story holds.

Before committing, confirm the exact length—Super Flatline MKII pricing scales noticeably with meter count—and verify the termination (banana, spade, or bi-wire configuration). Inspect the connectors closely for corrosion or damage, and check that the flat conductors show no kinks or crushing along their length. Request photos of both ends and any visible wear. Confirm the cable comes with its original box or at minimum documentation proving authenticity; counterfeit Nordost cables do circulate. Ask the seller whether these have been stored properly and how long they've been in use.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Nordost

Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.

The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.

Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
