Early model R1 cables. Geoff from Aurealis said they are copper cables and I think they are Eichman plugs from memory. He said they are still good quality cables.
Is A$65 a genuine bargain or a trap for Aurealis R1 RCA interconnects? Based on your database of nine recent AUD listings, the median used price is A$328, with the 25th percentile at A$256; at A$65, this listing is dramatically below the 25th percentile and represents a clear, no-hesitation bargain.
Aurealis R1 cables are well-regarded in the Australian hi-fi scene for their clean signal transfer and durable RCA construction, offering real performance upside for the price. Since the asking price is so far below typical market value, the main upside is simply securing a well-loved product at a fraction of its usual cost. Unless the condition is questionable or connectors are damaged, this is a strong buying opportunity for anyone needing reliable RCA interconnects without paying full market rates.

Aurealis Audio emerged from Brisbane, Australia, opening its doors in 2012 as a boutique operation dedicated to audiophile-grade cabling. Founded amid the city's vibrant hi-fi scene, the brand has grown its footprint with partner agencies in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, enabling broader development and distribution while maintaining its Australian roots.
The company specializes in hand-crafted cables across key categories, including speaker cables, interconnects, and IEM/headphone cables, all built from premium litz wire for superior conductivity and low distortion. Recent releases like the 201 and 303 Litz speaker cables underscore their focus on high-performance options, priced from AUD$550 for a two-meter pair, targeting systems demanding precision and refinement.
Aurealis holds a strong niche as a boutique high-end cable maker, earning praise among enthusiasts for delivering transparency, musicality, and expansive soundstaging that captures recording details and emotion. Positioned for discerning buyers seeking effortless playback upgrades, it stands out in the competitive audiophile market through meticulous craftsmanship rather than mass production.
