Alpha Design Labs (ADL) is a Japanese audio brand created by Furutech as a more affordable sister line, and its roots are generally placed in the late 2000s rather than as a long-standing standalone manufacturer. Furutech says ADL was created to apply its engineering approach to designs that more people could afford, while outside coverage links the line to Furutech’s Tokyo base and earlier reports describe it as an entry-level brand that later evolved into a broader specialist label.
ADL is best known for compact, function-heavy electronics rather than traditional full-range hi-fi separates. Its catalog has centered on headphone amplifiers, DACs, DAC/ADC units, phono stages, preamps, portable and desktop audio components, plus headphones, earphones, and cables.
