Campfire Audio emerged from the legacy of ALO Audio, founded in 2009 by Ken Ball in Portland, Oregon. Hand-assembled in their Portland workshop, the brand embodies American craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest's landscapes in its distinctive faceted metal shells.

The company specializes exclusively in high-end wired IEMs, eschewing amplifiers, speakers, or other categories. Their lineup spans over 45 models since inception, featuring multi-driver balanced armature designs like the iconic Andromeda—first released in 2016 with five drivers for a natural, expansive soundstage—and evolutions such as the ten-driver Andromeda 10.
