The founders were dedicated fans of the iconic Apogee Acoustics ribbon speakers (1981–1999), initially producing replacement parts and refurbished models before evolving into original designs. Key figures include Florian Wiegand, an Apogee collector and speaker design expert, along with engineers Bac, Bao, Paolo, and Kurt, whose backgrounds span mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.

The brand specializes exclusively in high-end planar magnetic ribbon loudspeakers, distinguished as the world’s only manufacturer of true bipole, full-range ribbon designs with double-sided drivers and wider neodymium-enhanced ribbons.
