Dahlquist

Dahlquist is a U.S. hi-fi speaker brand founded in 1972 by engineer Jon Dahlquist, with early backing from industry legend Saul Marantz. The company’s best-known product, the DQ-10, arrived in 1973 and quickly established Dahlquist’s reputation for serious, technically ambitious loudspeaker design.

The brand was primarily associated with loudspeakers rather than a broad electronics lineup. Its most famous models were the DQ series and later QX/M series speakers, with Dahlquist also developing accessory products tied to its speaker systems, such as crossover and subwoofer-related support for the DQ-10. It is not known as a maker of turntables, DACs, headphones, cables, or a full electronics range.

In market terms, Dahlquist sits in the vintage hi-fi and collector category.
