Davis Acoustics emerged in 1986 from the vision of Michel Visan, a seasoned French audio engineer who had honed his expertise at Siare Acoustique after a stint at Audax. Frustrated by corporate shifts following Siare's acquisition by Harman, Visan founded the company in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, southern France, pioneering the use of Kevlar, carbon, and fiberglass in loudspeaker membranes for superior rigidity and lightness. This heritage of innovation and hands-on craftsmanship has defined the brand for nearly four decades, with production now centered in Troyes.
