Mojo Audio

Mojo Audio is a US-based hi-fi company founded by Benjamin “Ben” Zwickel in 2009. It began with vintage Western Electric power cables, upgrades to CD players and DACs, and specialist linear power supplies, reportedly launched while Zwickel was studying computer electronics engineering technology. The company is now based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The brand is best known for digital-audio equipment, particularly non-oversampling and R-2R DACs, low-noise linear power supplies, and computer-based music servers and streamers. Its catalogue also includes digital cables and the Staccato range of discrete Class A amplification. Mojo Audio’s engineering emphasis is on power-supply design, low-noise regulation, modular construction and carefully selected conversion architectures rather than broad consumer appeal.

Mojo Audio occupies a distinctive niche in the high-end market. Its products are generally hand-built or built to order, command premium prices and target experienced digital-audio enthusiasts seeking alternatives to mass-market DAC and streaming platforms. The company’s early work with vintage components and NOS-style digital designs gives it some appeal among collectors and traditionalist audiophiles, while its modern servers and advanced DACs place it firmly within contemporary boutique high-end audio.
