Soundboks originated in Denmark as a DIY project by three high school friends in 2014, driven by a mission to dominate the chaotic soundscape of the Roskilde Festival with unbreakable audio gear. Co-founder and CEO Jesper Thomsen led the charge, officially launching the brand in 2015 after relentless experimentation to create speakers that could endure wild outdoor nights. This scrappy heritage, rooted in Copenhagen's festival culture, evolved into a global phenomenon, with over 300,000 units sold across more than 40 countries.
