Zappiti was a French brand founded in 2009, originally by a team developing movie and TV indexing software for Dune HD before moving into its own hardware line. Its best-known products were not traditional hi-fi components but digital media players and home-cinema servers, aimed at organizing, storing, and playing high-resolution video and audio libraries.

The brand’s core focus was on 4K HDR media players, networked media servers, and home-theater playback systems rather than amplifiers, speakers, turntables, or headphones. Flagship models such as the Reference and Signature added premium touches like dual-drive bays, dual HDMI outputs, and high-end DACs for audio playback, underscoring Zappiti’s emphasis on AV integration and file-based performance.

In market terms, Zappiti sat in a niche, high-end home-theater segment: more specialized than mainstream AV brands, but not a traditional audiophile electronics maker. It built a strong reputation among enthusiasts for feature-rich design, polished software, and good price-to-performance value, though the brand later encountered serious business trouble and was reported to have gone out of business.
