Fully recapped! Legendary McIntosh mc240 amp performing flawlessly. The amp comes with 2 sets of upgraded power tubes. A set of nos RCA black plates, which is considered the best tubes for this amp. 2nd set of Genalex Gold Lion kt66. Both sets are fairly new and have less then 30hrs of playtime. Both sets are a value of $1500 and makes the performance and sound much better than stock. The recapping happened less than a year ago with maybe 50hrs of playtime. The appearances aren’t perfect and shows its age with some wears which can all be restored with the after market. But if you want a piece of mind that your amp will be solid and performs without issue than this is your amp. The upgraded tubes makes this amp a bargain.

It is not wildly off for a McIntosh MC240, but at this level a buyer should expect either unusually clean cosmetics, strong test results, or meaningful service history to justify the premium.
