€250 is fair to slightly firm for this one: it sits just above the €247 median of the recent comparables, but still well inside the normal used spread between €232 and €321. It is not a bargain at the 25th-percentile level, but it is close enough to market that I’d call it a reasonable buy if you want one now.
The upside here is straightforward: this is a respected compact subwoofer from a brand that tends to do solid, punchy bass without fuss, and excellent condition matters a lot on a used sub. For a buyer, the key checks are whether it powers on cleanly, produces quiet bass without hum or rattles, and includes the right cable/remote if the setup needs it. At this price and condition, it looks like a sensible pickup rather than a risky stretch.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
