I am not the original owner of this turntable, it was given to me recently. I had to replace one of the belts (cost $40) to get it turning properly again. All the buttons operate correctly and the needle moves around correctly. When I tried to connect it to my receiver and speakers the sound is very scratchy and noisy, I think it related to the cartridge. The cartridge is an original MMC4. It looks OK but does not sound good, I assume it is worn. Sound comes out of both speakers but it sounds bad. I am selling this item as is, due to the issue above.
US$199 is fair to slightly good for a Beogram 3300 if it’s complete and mechanically sound; it’s not an obvious steal, but it’s comfortably in the range where a clean, working example can make sense.
What makes it appealing is the deck’s serious engineering: a tangential tracking arm, DC servo control, very low wow and flutter, and a compact late-’80s B&O design that still has real charm and credibility with vinyl people. The big upside is condition—if the lid, platter, cartridge/stylus setup, and auto functions are all intact, this is the kind of table that rewards a careful buyer. The main thing to verify is smooth tangential arm travel and consistent start/return behavior, since age-related service needs matter more than cosmetics on these.
