The timing is fine here: this is a later-generation pair, and the asking price is well above the recent used market you gave me. Against 4 comparable AUD listings, A$12,999 sits far past the 75th percentile at A$6,117 and well above the median at A$3,050, so I’d call it ambitious, not a bargain.
That said, these are respected high-end floorstanders, so the appeal is obvious if you want serious scale, weight, and refinement from a big Australian-made speaker. An excellent condition example can still be worth chasing if it’s complete and has been carefully stored, but at this level I’d want strong proof of driver health, cabinet integrity, and original accessories before paying up.
