At A$4,500, this is above the typical used level for a ProAc D18 and reads ambitious rather than fair; comparable sold listings cluster more around roughly A$2,800 to A$3,600 equivalent, with some stronger-condition examples landing near A$3,700–A$4,000. New price was about A$6,000–A$8,000 depending on market and dealer, so A$4,500 is not absurd, but it’s firmly toward the top end of used value.
That said, the D18 is well regarded for its natural midrange, easy musical flow, and an honest, room-friendly presentation that works especially well with vocals, acoustic, and small-to-medium rooms. If this pair is clean, original, and includes the boxes and grilles, the upside is a proven British floorstander that still competes strongly when set up well. At this price, I’d want clear condition proof and to hear both speakers carefully.
