Seller's Description

Naim Audio Nait 2 Integrated Amplifier (Solid State) Naim Nait 2 chrome bumper in good working order and sounding beautiful.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy one of these classics here’s a great opportunity.  The amp is in very good condition and everything works as it should, except the LED panel.  Contacted Naim and they said likely ‘dry joints’ on the LED panel (and that the LEDs themselves are very likely fine). The amp is a classic  and sounds amazing.    Happy to audition. And can post.  Condition: Very Good Payment Method: Cash, PayID Region/State: (NSW) New South Wales/Aust

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a vintage, well-loved classic, so timing matters mainly because clean examples are getting scarcer and nicer condition tends to get snapped up. At A$1,395, it sits above the A$998 median and even above the A$1,256 75th percentile from your recent comps, so I’d call it ambitious rather than a bargain.

That said, the Nait 2 is still admired for its musical, gripy, engaging sound and its ability to make simple systems feel alive. If this one is genuinely very good cosmetically and fully functional, the appeal is the combination of cult status, compact size, and long-term desirability. I’d want confirmation of service history and clean operation, but for the right buyer it’s still a serious piece.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Naim Audio

Naim Audio, a cornerstone of British hi-fi excellence, traces its origins to 1973 when Julian Vereker, a self-taught engineer, racing driver, and music enthusiast, formally incorporated the company in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Vereker's journey began earlier, in 1969, experimenting with tape recording and sound-to-light boxes before designing his first power amplifier in 1971. Amid the British hi-fi industry's recession, he secured a pivotal contract with Capital Radio, blending entrepreneurial grit with a passion for authentic sound reproduction that challenged conventional wisdom.

The brand specializes in premium integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, digital streamers, DACs, and compact music systems, often featuring built-in amplification for streamlined setups. While not delving into speakers—beyond a historical foray—or headphones and turntables, Naim emphasizes modular, upgradable components that prioritize pace, rhythm, and timing (PRaT), a signature sonic philosophy rooted in the "source first" approach alongside contemporaries like Linn.

Naim holds a commanding position in the high-end market, revered by discerning audiophiles for its handmade, innovative systems that deliver emotional musical engagement over mere specifications. Now part of VerVent Audio Group following a 2011 merger with Focal, it exports to over 45 countries, sustaining a cult following for resilient, influential designs that transcend economic cycles.
