Seller's Description

Ich verkaufe mein Canton GLE Lautsprecher-Set, bestehend aus:

* 2× Canton GLE 410.2 – Stereo-/Regallautsprecher
* 1× Canton GLE 455.2 – Centerlautsprecher

Zustand:
Sehr guter gebrauchter Zustand mit normalen, altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren.

Lieferumfang:
3 Lautsprecher inkl. Frontabdeckungen

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

On the market context you gave, €220 sits clearly above the recent used benchmark for this center speaker: it’s well over the €173 75th percentile and roughly €94 above the €126 median, so I’d call it ambitious rather than fair. It is not an absurd ask, but it is priced at the top end of the recent comparable range, so I’d want some extra upside before paying it.

That said, the model itself is a sensible buy if you need a matching Canton center: the GLE-series centers are generally valued for clean dialogue, coherent voicing with the rest of the line, and easy integration in a living-room surround setup. If the condition is genuinely good, that helps, but at this price I’d still look for original grille, intact drivers, and a clean history, because there isn’t enough discount here to ignore avoidable wear.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Canton

Canton traces its roots to 1972, when four hi-fi enthusiasts—Hubert Milbers, Otfried Sandig, Wolfgang Seitkritt, and Günther Seitz—founded the company in the small German town of Weilrod, near Frankfurt. Registering the name as a blend of the Latin "cantare" (to sing) and German "Ton" (musical tone), they began operations in a repurposed village schoolhouse with 35 employees assembling speaker enclosures. Still family-owned and led by descendants like Günther Seitz, Canton embodies enduring German engineering precision, manufacturing primarily in Niederlauken and Weilrod.

The brand focuses squarely on loudspeakers, offering over 300 models across 12 series tailored to diverse budgets, room sizes, and applications—from compact bookshelf designs and the pioneering 1979 sub/sat system to high-end Reference lines and wireless innovations. While speakers dominate, Canton also produces complementary hi-fi components, blending traditional cabinetry with digital amplification advancements, all subjected to rigorous quality controls.

Positioned as a mid-to-high-end mainstay in the global hi-fi market, Canton commands respect for its "pure music" philosophy, exporting to 53 countries with a reputation for reliable, elegant performance that appeals to discerning buyers seeking value without compromise. Independent of corporate conglomerates, it remains a smart, appreciating investment for audiophiles valuing Made-in-Germany craftsmanship.
