New, this sat well above €100, so a used ask at €100 puts it in fair-value territory rather than bargain land. Against the recent comparable market, it sits above the €79 median and just over the €91 75th percentile, so it reads a touch ambitious unless condition and accessories are especially strong.
The HomePod mini still earns its keep for compact size, tidy bass for the footprint, and especially solid sound for a single-room smart speaker. It’s a good buy if it’s clean, fully working, and comes with the power lead and original box; at this price, the main question is whether the convenience and Apple ecosystem fit outweigh waiting for a closer-to-median deal around €79–€91.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.
In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.
Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
