Selling Eico ST-84 Stereo Tube preamplifier, Unit has been fully recapped in 2022, one of my favorite tubes preamplifier selling because of recently purchased Audio Research SP3, recently added phono ground adapter. Should you jump at a fully recapped ST-84 at US$1,250? Not quite, because the ask sits above the US$1,213 75th percentile and well over the US$775 median for recent comparable listings, so this is an ambitious price rather than a bargain.
That said, the ST-84 has a good reputation as a lively, capable vintage tube preamp, and a documented recap plus working condition adds real value for someone who wants to plug in and enjoy it. If the work was done cleanly and the seller can show parts and service details, the premium is easier to justify; if not, the price leaves less room for restoration risk or missing original pieces.

Eico, an acronym for Electronic Instrument Company, was founded in 1945 in New York City by Harry Ashley, a radio repair business owner who established the brand to manufacture electronic test equipment in kit form.
