Nette set s1 speakers. Heerlijk 2-weg systeem van het high end merk magico. Gesloten aluminium behuizing, geen plaatsingsproblemen. Zelfs op ons old school buizenversterkertje van 8watt uit 1963 klink
This is a mature, established model, so timing matters less than condition and provenance; there’s no obvious replacement-model pressure here, which makes a clean example easier to judge on its own merits. At €6,250, it sits just below the €6,380 median and above the €6,161 25th percentile, so this reads as a fair-to-good buy rather than a bargain, with a touch of room left in the price.
Magico’s S1 is respected for its low coloration, precision, and scale from a compact footprint, so the appeal is easy to understand if you want a revealing speaker that can anchor a serious system. The main upside here is that a well-kept pair should hold value well; with only “unknown” condition shown, a buyer should confirm cosmetics, driver health, and whether stands, packaging, and original accessories are included before moving quickly.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Magico, a pinnacle of American high-end audio engineering, traces its origins to 1994 in Berkeley, California, where founder Alon Wolf pioneered the use of aluminum enclosures for loudspeakers. Drawing from aerospace and automotive construction principles, Wolf's vision emphasized rigid, non-resonant cabinets to achieve unprecedented transparency and accuracy in sound reproduction. The company consolidated operations in 2013 into a expansive 20,000-square-foot facility in Hayward, later expanding to 30,000 square feet, solidifying its commitment to in-house craftsmanship by a team of specialized machinists and technicians.
Magico specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, eschewing amplifiers, DACs, turntables, headphones, or cables to focus relentlessly on driver technology, enclosure design, and material science. Their products feature intricate internal frameworks that minimize vibrations, delivering reference-level dynamics and imaging prized by audiophiles seeking uncolored musical truth.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Magico commands reverence among discerning buyers for its technological vanguardism and consistent critical acclaim. Enthusiastic owners and a legacy of innovation ensure its stature as a boutique leader, where every speaker embodies precision engineering tailored for the ultimate listening experience.
