Recently restored to it's former glory, this Dual performs as Dual intended it to sound. All levers, switches, and gears have been painstakingly removed and cleaned, and lubricated. The motor has been serviced with new oil in the bearings and the idler wheel has been. treated with rubber renew. What's unique about the 1229 are all the automatic functions. Just push the start lever and the records will automatically drop with the multiplay spindle, and when finished it will automatically shut off. Or put the single play spindle on for one record at a time with automatic start and stop functions. The tonearm has one of the best cartridges ever made, the Shure M91ed with a new stylus. The plinth and dust cover are almost perfect with a few light scratches only on the dust cover. Please look at all photos before buying. The RCA cables have been upgraded and all the electrical connections have been cleaned. Read the online reviews of this incredible turntable and take advantage of it before it's too late.
