Here's the turntable you've been waiting for!! This Dual 1229 has all the "bells and whistles" you could want in a turntable. Not only can you stack LPs on the multiplay spindle that's included and have them play automatically, you can also stack 45 rpm records with the 45 rpm stacking spindle and they will also drop and play automatically!! Not in to multiplay? No problem. Just change out the spindle to the single play spindle and it will automatically start and stop with a LP. Add the 45 rpm adapter to do the same thing with a single 45. There are a lot of turntables available but just how many of them can do what this fantastic turntable can do? Talk about quality!! Take a look at just how immaculate this deck is. The dust cover is almost flawless with no cracks and a few light surface scratches. This is a 1st generation CK 20 plinth with the famous fold down front to house all your assessories. It comes complete with all the spindles and even 2 extra headshells with cartridges. No cartridge, in my opinion, can beat the Shure M91ed cartridge. It sounds unbelievable. This tonearm comes complete with the Shure M91ed cartridge with a new stylus. And did you notice that headshell? The knob on the TK 124 Dual headshell let's you change the angle of the cartridge from multiplay to single play without having to change spindles or fool with that ridiculous selector switch on the dress plate. This deck has been stripped down to it's bare chassis and all levers, controls, switches, and gears, have been cleaned and lubricated. The motor has had both bearings oiled and the idler wheel has been serviced. Take all the time you want to decide but if you like it and can afford it, why wait? Have you ever seen listed a Dual 1229 like this one? My restored turntables sell fast so don't miss out!!! Shipping will be in 3 boxes and will require you to put the deck in it's plinth. When these were new, Dual never shipped them complete due to damage possibilities. The platter will be taken off and put in one box with the deck. The plinth in a separate box, and finally the dust cover in another box. It takes me all day to pack these up so please don't be in a rush to unpack it. Also, delivery trucks are big paint mixing machines and shake these up. I've had 2 turntables need a few adjustments that are simple and can be done with a phone call, text, or ebay messaging.
