The Sansui AU-D11 was a premium integrated amp in its day, retailing new for around AUD5,000 equivalent back in the late '70s—solid Japanese build with 180W/ch into 8 ohms. At AUD2,100 asking (condition unknown), it's smack in the fair zone against recent Aussie used listings: median AUD2,085, with 25th percentile AUD1,936 and 75th AUD2,333. Not a steal, but reasonable if it's tidy—no premium or discount without photos or service history.
Buyers, prioritise a full recap check—those old electrolytics in the power supply and phono stage often leak after 45 years, causing hum or failure. Verify original meters work smoothly (no sticking), and confirm the wooden case, manual, and Sansui remote if applicable are included; missing bits tank resale.
