SOUNDBOKS Go – sehr gepflegt
The SOUNDBOKS Go has a strong reputation as a genuinely usable party speaker, not just a novelty box, and €500 for an excellent unit lands right in the sweet spot. Against your market anchor of a €611 median and €494 25th percentile, this is basically fair-to-good pricing, sitting just above the lower quartile but comfortably below the middle of the pack.
That makes it a sensible buy if the condition is as described and the battery is still healthy. The real appeal here is the combination of high output, portable battery operation, and the kind of rugged, outdoor-friendly tuning that made this line popular in the first place. At this price, I’d want the usual essentials to be present — charger, strap, and a battery that holds charge well — but there’s no need to overthink it if the listing checks out.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Soundboks originated in Denmark as a DIY project by three high school friends in 2014, driven by a mission to dominate the chaotic soundscape of the Roskilde Festival with unbreakable audio gear. Co-founder and CEO Jesper Thomsen led the charge, officially launching the brand in 2015 after relentless experimentation to create speakers that could endure wild outdoor nights. This scrappy heritage, rooted in Copenhagen's festival culture, evolved into a global phenomenon, with over 300,000 units sold across more than 40 countries.
The brand specializes exclusively in portable Bluetooth performance speakers, engineered for extreme durability, marathon battery life, and thunderous volume. Models like the original Soundboks and limited-edition variants draw from sound system traditions, prioritizing bass-heavy output and rugged portability over traditional hi-fi categories such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables. These are party weapons, not living-room audiophiles.
Soundboks holds a niche position in the mid-tier portable audio market, celebrated for lifestyle-driven reliability among festival-goers, backyard ravers, and adventure seekers rather than high-end purists or vintage collectors. Backed by investors like Jägermeister's M-Venture, it commands a loyal following for delivering pro-level sound in brutal conditions, though it sidesteps the precision refinement of dedicated hi-fi marques.
