Nordost’s Frey 2 is the sort of cable that earns its keep in resolving systems, and this asking price lands in a sensible spot. At kr12,900, it sits just under the kr13,855 median for recent comparable SEK listings and comfortably below the kr27,040 75th percentile, so it reads as fair-to-good value rather than a stretch.
That makes it worth a close look if you want the Frey 2’s strengths: fast, clean presentation, strong transparency, and the kind of low-loss signal handling that suits revealing setups. If the cable is genuinely clean and complete, this is the kind of listing a buyer can move on without overthinking; just confirm length, terminations, and that the ends are in good shape, since condition matters more than almost anything with used interconnects.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.
The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.
Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
