Should you jump on this one, or wait for a better used price? At €289, it’s above the recent used median of €205 and even above the 75th percentile of €254, so this reads as ambitious rather than a bargain.
The upside is real: this is Teufel’s top over-ear model, well-liked for strong bass, solid ANC, long battery life, and a generally polished feature set. If “excellent” condition is accurate and it includes the case and cables, it’s a clean, high-quality buy — but only if you specifically want this model enough to pay a premium over normal used-market levels.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
