Offered is „Nordost Frey 2 XLR 1m“ by Nordost as second-hand device from the category „XLR-Cable (Analog)“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 8610935309 ends on 27.11.2026 at 15:45 o'clock.
The timing matters a bit because this is a mature, well-known cable rather than a current-generation piece, but it’s still a very relevant buy if you want Nordost’s Norse-series sound. At €950, it sits exactly at the 25th percentile of your recent comparables and well below the €1,329 median, so this reads as a strong deal rather than merely fair.
Frey 2 is respected for speed, clarity, and low coloration, with that familiar Nordost sense of rhythmic snap and openness that can be very revealing in a resolving system. At this price, a clean, working pair is attractive, especially if the length and termination suit your setup and it’s from careful ownership; just make sure the connectors are genuine and the cable hasn’t been badly bent or stressed, since the value here is in getting a proper, intact example.

Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.
The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.
Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
