Condition is unknown, so at £4,186 this sits right on the median of the recent GBP comps and reads as a fair, market-level asking price rather than a bargain or an ambitiously priced listing. With the 25th percentile at £4,122 and the 75th at £5,656, it’s very much in the acceptable zone for this amp.
That makes the real question the usual one for this model: whether the unit is clean, fully functional, and complete. The PWR-222 is a serious, well-regarded high-current power amp with plenty of drive and refinement, so a tidy example at this level is worth a close look. If it’s been well cared for and includes the right cables, packaging, or original paperwork, it becomes an easier buy; at this price, those details matter more than any theoretical bargain-hunting.

Gato Audio emerged from Denmark's storied high-end audio scene, founded in 2008 by Kresten Dinesen and Frederik Johansen, with Rasmus Holm joining as a key developer. The trio brought deep expertise from roles at prestigious Danish firms like Holfi and GamuT Audio, where they honed skills in development, production, and sales.
