Chord Company Clearway XLR Plugs

The Chord Company, a British hi-fi cable specialist, traces its origins to 1985 in Salisbury, England, where founder Sally Kennedy—then Sally Gibb—began handcrafting interconnects in her kitchen. Sparked by a dinner conversation with Naim Audio retailers seeking quality DIN-to-RCA cables for the US market, she launched the venture with Naim's endorsement, emphasizing fully British design and construction. The company rapidly outgrew multiple facilities before settling into its purpose-built headquarters near Stonehenge in Wiltshire in 2004.

Chord focuses exclusively on audio cabling, producing an extensive range of speaker cables, interconnects, power cords, digital links, and tonearm wires. Its products prioritize neutrality, delivering signal paths that neither add nor subtract from the music, crafted by a team of music enthusiasts using high-quality, UK-sourced materials. This singular dedication sets it apart from broader electronics brands.

Renowned internationally as a high-end boutique leader in cables, Chord Company occupies a premium niche, balancing exceptional performance with value across budgets. Its reputation for transparency, build quality, and musical fidelity earns praise among discerning audiophiles, positioning it as a go-to for system upgrades without extravagant pricing.
