# AMG (Analog Manufaktur Germany)

Analog Manufaktur Germany was founded in 2011 by Werner Röschlau, a commercial pilot and master mechanical engineer whose dual expertise in precision mechanics and aeronautical engineering shaped the company's design philosophy. Based in Deining, Bavaria, AMG emerged from Röschlau's prior work as a supplier to the high-end turntable industry, where he developed his signature dual-pivot tonearm bearing system. Today, his son Julian Lorenzi oversees the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and continues the brand's commitment to innovation in analog playback.

AMG specializes exclusively in analog audio components, with turntables and tonearms forming the core of their product portfolio. Their turntable lineup includes flagship models such as the Forte, the established Viella series, and the compact Giro, each engineered for different performance priorities. The company also manufactures phono cartridges, including the Teatro moving-coil design, which features a proprietary titanium body developed in collaboration with aerospace manufacturers. Every product reflects meticulous attention to mechanical isolation, resonance control, and precision engineering.

AMG occupies a firmly high-end position within the analog audio market, with distribution across more than 25 countries. The brand has earned substantial critical acclaim and a devoted following among serious vinyl enthusiasts and audiophiles, particularly for the Viella V12's combination of performance and value. Pricing reflects premium positioning, yet reviewers consistently note that AMG components deliver reference-level performance that justifies their investment, establishing the brand as a respected innovator in contemporary high-end analog playback.
