At €200, this is the obvious alternative to buying new: it sits just below the €203 used-market median and comfortably inside the normal €173–€232 range. That makes it a fair price rather than a bargain, assuming the listing is complete and the condition is genuinely good. It is not ambitious, but there is little discount for buying used.
The QC Ultra 2 is a strong travel and everyday headphone, combining excellent comfort, highly effective noise cancelling, convincing sound, multipoint Bluetooth, and up to 30 hours of battery life. USB-C audio, the 3.5 mm option, and the supplied cables add useful flexibility, while the case and accessories make this a particularly sensible buy if everything is present. At this price, check battery health, ear-pad wear, hinge condition, and that both cables and charging accessories are included.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
