The X-i1100 is Advance Paris’s flagship-style integrated, combining serious power with unusually generous connectivity. At £1,999, though, this listing is clearly ambitious against the supplied used comparables: the median is £1,687, with the 75th percentile at £1,843. Unless it is exceptional, fully documented, and in near-mint condition, there should be room to negotiate.
It remains a compelling amplifier for a demanding system. Its 220W per channel into 8 ohms, substantial transformer, built-in DAC, MM phono stage, balanced input and extensive digital connectivity make it versatile and capable of driving difficult loudspeakers. The direct power-amp input is useful for future system expansion, too. At the asking price, insist on the remote, original accessories, clean operation, and confirmation that every input and display function works; nearer £1,700–£1,850, it would look considerably more attractive.

Advance Paris traces its roots to 1995, when it launched as Advance Acoustic in France, founded by a group of passionate audiophiles near Paris. The brand debuted with a critically acclaimed lineup of five loudspeakers, emphasizing French design and sound quality. It expanded into electronics in 2002, releasing its first integrated amplifier in 2004—a hybrid model that established the signature aesthetic of VU meters and tube preamps. Rebranded as Advance Paris in 2013, it honored its heritage while targeting global markets, now available in over 40 countries.
The brand specializes in a comprehensive range of hi-fi components, including integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, CD players, and loudspeakers. Standouts like the hybrid A12 Classic amplifier blend tube warmth with solid-state power, while models such as the X-i75, X-CD9, and PlayStream A7 incorporate modern features like HDMI ARC, high-res USB, Bluetooth, phono stages, and streaming. This versatile portfolio caters to both analog purists and digital enthusiasts, delivering detailed, unfatiguing sound with rich tonality and solid bass.
Positioned as a mid-to-high-end contender, Advance Paris excels in offering premium performance, timeless retro styling, and innovative engineering at accessible prices—far below boutique luxury tags. Award-winning and expanding into the US, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking French flair, value-driven excellence, and a potent mix of vintage elegance and contemporary functionality.
