Offered is „Aesthetix Calypso Line Stage – Tube Preamplifier – Excellent Condition“ by Aesthetix as second-hand device from the category „Tube-Preamp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 263537994 ends on 04.12.2026 at 16:36 o'clock.
The used Aesthetix Calypso market centers on about €3,931, with recent comparables spanning roughly €3,617 to €4,741. At €3,220, this sits below the 25th percentile, making it a strong deal rather than merely a fair buy—assuming the listing’s “good” condition is accurate and the unit is complete.
The Calypso remains a highly regarded all-tube linestage: rich and harmonically convincing without becoming sluggish, with fully balanced operation, flexible RCA/XLR connectivity, and unusually fine 1 dB switched-resistor volume steps. It uses four tubes and includes useful features such as phase control, home-theater bypass, and a remote. Confirm tube condition, remote, and correct operation of every input and output, but at €3,220 there is enough value here to justify serious buying interest.

Aesthetix Audio traces its roots to California, where founder and chief designer Jim White established the company over 30 years ago, drawing from his passion for music and early experience at Theta Digital. Hand-built in the Golden State, Aesthetix embodies a commitment to analog purity and digital precision, with White's induction into The Absolute Sound's High-End Audio Hall of Fame underscoring his enduring influence in the industry.
The brand specializes in tube-based high-end components, spanning analog and digital realms without venturing into speakers, headphones, or cables. Its lineup features flagship Jupiter Series preamplifiers, phonostages like the IO Eclipse, and digital processors, all engineered for universal reliability and structural integrity. These products prioritize robust power supplies and meticulous design to deliver lifelike musical realism across genres and systems.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Aesthetix commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its award-winning gear, which transcends operating conditions to render performances with immersive presence. A boutique American powerhouse, it appeals to serious collectors seeking no-compromise excellence rather than mass-market accessibility.
