At €150, this is a strong deal: it sits below the €245 median and only modestly above the €138 25th percentile from 32 comparable listings, while remaining well below the €307 75th-percentile mark. For an excellent-condition example with its power cable, the price looks comfortably fair and arguably attractive rather than merely ordinary.
The Bose Wave Music earns its reputation as a remarkably compact, easy-to-live-with all-in-one: it delivers surprisingly full, room-filling sound while handling CD playback, AM/FM radio, and auxiliary sources without needing separate components. The included power cable means it is ready to use, and excellent condition adds real value with older units. Just confirm that the CD mechanism, display, controls, and radio all work properly; at this price, a clean, fully functioning example is worth serious consideration.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
