The €120 asking price is fair for a clean Bose TV Speaker: it matches the €120 median from 13 comparable listings, sitting well above the €81 25th percentile but below the €134 75th percentile. It is not a bargain, but excellent condition makes the price defensible rather than ambitious.
This is a sensible, compact upgrade for televisions with weak built-in sound, particularly if clear speech matters. Bose’s Dialogue Mode is genuinely useful for vocals, while HDMI-ARC, optical input, Bluetooth, and the included remote make everyday operation straightforward. Check that the remote and optical cable are present, and confirm the HDMI-ARC connection suits the buyer’s TV; otherwise, there is little reason to push back at this price.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
