The MJ-12 is a beautifully machined, 5mm aluminium mat with a tapered surface intended to improve record contact, tame warps and sharpen tracing. Confirm that it is genuinely flat, free from damaging marks, and includes any bundled rubber mat or original packaging; at £350, a complete, very clean example is a worthwhile buy.
