At €120, this is a strong bargain: it sits well below the €207 25th-percentile comparable and far under the €295 median for used Teufel LT 5 subwoofers. Assuming it is genuinely in good working order, the price leaves plenty of room for this hefty, capable subwoofer to outperform its cost.
The LT 5 brings serious home-cinema weight from its 300 mm driver, 250-watt RMS Class D amplifier, and claimed 28 Hz extension. It is a particularly good fit for a larger room or an LT 5 system where controlled, deep bass matters more than compactness. At this money, check that the amplifier wakes reliably, the driver is quiet at idle, and the grille, mains lead, and any original remote are present—but those are sensible checks, not reasons to hesitate. For a working example, this looks like a buying opportunity.

Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
