Bose portable home speaker in nieuwstaat. Nieuwprijs: eur 403,00 geluid: 360 graden, kamervullend met diepe bas verbinding: wifi, bluetooth en apple airplay 2 smart functies: google assistent, amazon
New, this model was around €310, so €250 used is not a bargain; it is an ambitious ask, sitting above the €208 75th-percentile comparable and well over the €108 median. I’d want excellent condition and complete accessories before considering it, with room to negotiate toward the low €200s or below.
It remains a useful, well-regarded all-rounder: genuinely portable, with Bose’s spacious 360-degree presentation, Wi‑Fi streaming and voice control at home, then Bluetooth operation away from the network. Battery life is rated up to 12 hours and the IPX4 splash resistance is handy. Check that the battery still holds charge, Wi‑Fi/app setup works, and the charging cable is included; at this price, a worn battery or missing accessories materially weakens the deal.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
