Offered is „901 Serie VI Concerto inkl. EQ“ by Bose as second-hand device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 3710897280 ends on 03.01.2027 at 08:56 o'clock.
At €890, this Bose 901 sits exactly at the top of the five-listing comparison range: fair only if it is an especially complete, clean example, not an obvious bargain. The median is €719, with €501 at the 25th percentile and €890 at the 75th, so the price needs to be justified by strong condition and included extras.
The 901 remains distinctive for its wide, highly diffuse presentation and unusually large listening area, with nine full-range drivers per cabinet and a sound shaped by room reflections. The matching active equalizer is essential to the design, not an optional accessory; confirm it is the correct unit, working cleanly, and included with its cables. Also check every driver for distortion or silence, since there are nine per speaker. At this price, original stands, healthy cabinets and a complete, tested system would make it worthwhile.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
