Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Against recent comparable listings, this is a strong deal: at €190, it sits well below the €233 25th-percentile mark and substantially under the €276 median. For an excellent-condition DT 1770 PRO, that is bargain territory rather than merely fair pricing.

The DT 1770 PRO remains a serious closed-back studio headphone, offering robust construction, deep controlled bass, clear detail, strong isolation, and detachable cabling. Its replaceable pads and typically supplied straight and coiled cables add practical value, while the Tesla drivers give it plenty of resolution for both monitoring and focused listening. At this price, verify that both channels work cleanly, the mini-XLR connection is secure, and the case, pads, and cables are included—but assuming the listing’s condition is accurate, this looks like an easy recommendation.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Beyerdynamic

Beyerdynamic traces its roots to 1924 Berlin, where engineer Eugen Beyer founded Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer to produce cinema loudspeakers for the dawn of sound films. Born in St. Petersburg in 1903, Beyer relocated amid the Russian Revolution, pioneering dynamic drivers that defined early audio reproduction. Post-World War II destruction forced a rebuild in Heilbronn in 1948, with his son Fred R. Beyer steering the family-owned firm through decades of innovation until its 2025 acquisition by China's Cosonic Intelligent, marking the end of a century-long German heritage.

The brand excels in headphones and microphones, launching the DT 48 in 1937 as the world's first dynamic headphones—a staple for sound engineers until 2012. It expanded into wireless systems, conference tech, and professional monitoring gear, serving studios, broadcast, film, and now gaming. While early efforts included amplifiers and loudspeakers, Beyerdynamic prioritizes transducers over consumer amps, DACs, turntables, speakers, or cables.

Renowned for durable, reference-grade professional audio, Beyerdynamic occupies a solid mid-to-high-end niche, blending accessible pricing with studio precision that appeals to creators and audiophiles. Its century of milestones—from micing royalty to touring icons—cements a reputation for reliability and sonic purity among discerning hi-fi buyers seeking tools that endure.
